weather / temperature late april

I will be attending a 5-days course in Zagreb last week of April. Wondering what the weather and temperature will be like at that time. Also, the course will be ending around 5 or 6 pm each day, so will there be anything safe and fun to do after that? I will be travelling alone and safety is my priority.

I am also thinking of extending my stay there for a day or 2 so I can explore Zagreb during the day. Any suggestions for me?

You don't worry about the safety I've been there twice on my own as well and I've always felt very safe and welcome. The average weather of Zagreb in April is 16C but the temperature change approximately 7 to 18.
