Visit in Uzhhorod

Who can help me with some questions about the visit in Uzhhorod? Are the city streets safe for tourists in daytime and night? What recommended to do for a week in a city? What recommended a hotel to stay for a reasonable price. Transportation in a city and outside. Is the best way to reach Ushhorod it's coming from Hungary, Czech Republic or Kiev?
