New Year in Vienna

Hy,

I will be spending the New Year in Vienna with my wife and friends.
We would like to know if the museums , especialy Hofburg and Schonbrunn, are opened on the 31th of December and also the 2nd of January.
Also can you tell us if we can shop in the City Center of Vienna during that period?

The New Year Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (in German: Das Neujahrskonzert der Wiener Philharmoniker) is a concert of classical music that takes place each year in the morning of January 1 in Vienna, Austria. It is broadcast around the world to an estimated audience of one billion in more than 50 countries (as of 2009).
