Is Canberra worth a day of visit?

We are short in time but may squeeze one day to visit the capital city. However, I have not seen many people recommend the city, nor on the suggested tour book like Lonely Planet. Is the city worth visit for a day or just forget it? Thanks.

Hi Pinklife,

This reply may be a bit late, but I wouldn't recommend you go to Canberra. There's nothing much to do there and I think you'd enjoy your time on the east coast a lot more with the beaches and stream of quaint little towns along the coast line.
