How long (timewise) to allow for visiting Belvedere Palace?

We shall be visiting Vienna for two nights next week. Our main priority is the Christmas Markets but want to visit Belvedere on the full day. How long will it take to really enjoy the palace, upper and lower? Also what about food while we are there? Are the on site cafes reasonably priced?
