Getting from Salzburg to Munich Airport

Hi!
My friends and will be travelling from Salzburg to Munich Airport on Monday February 22nd next.
1. How does one get from the train station to the airport?
2. How long does this journey take?
3. As our flight is departing at 19.30 in the evening would it be possible or worthwhile to visit Munich for a couple of hours on the Monday?
4. If we did go into Munich where would we leav our luggage?
5. If anyone has any feasible ideas we would be happy to consider them!
