Hi guys,

I just thought I'd ask what everyone's favourite place to travel is. I haven't travelled all that much but the best place that I've been would have to be either Thailand or New Zealand.

Thailand for it's beautiful culture, amazing food and friendly people.
New Zealand for the nature and the wide variety of activities you can do. I went white water rafting and bungee jumping when I was over there (I'm not sure which was scarier, but I'm glad I did them)

What does everyone else think?

Hi Jacintax,

My favourite place would be Columbia. I've only been there once when I was travelling through South America but it was just out of this world. It has a bad reputation for being the drug capital of the world but the people were the friendliest I've ever met.

Take care Smiley

I have to admit, I'm a bit of a Francophile. I love France and the French culture. I could think of nothing better sitting outside a cafe with the best coffee ever, watching the high fashion pass me by. Just listening to the French language is something to be appreciated. And the cheeses! and the wine! and the history and art and gardens!!! Oh, I should stop now. I'm really starting to miss France Sad

Loved South Africa. Travelled around there a lot over the last couple of years. The country is amazing - great weather, excellent food and drink, amazing variety of scenery and the people are great.

Although I've heard that Asia or South America are the best places to travel on a budget, personally my favourite place is Czech Republic. It's really cheap to travel there if you're careful. Food can be expensive of course, but when I was in Prague we cooked most meals in the hostel and it only cost a few dollars each time. We washed them down with beer from the supermarket which was a crazy 15c each!!

When we were in the main town and wanted a drink, we avoided the main squares and went to the little restaurants and bars. You'd spend $6 on a beer in teh main square and $2 on one in the little local bars.
Also the transport is so cheap. If you go on the local trains that stop at all the towns, it costs only $5 or so to travel quite a few hours. You can see some amazing things for a fraction of the cost of Western Europe.

My experience over a neatly arranged and well-provisioned Honeymoon bed breakfast was interesting.
