Am I going at a good time?

It's a bit late now as Im travelling at the beginning of March but I wondered if anyone knew what the weather is likely to be like, eg sunny/rain/humidity etc. Im not sure what type of clothing to pack.

Im staying in Negombo but am travelling out and about to all the major tourist destinations.
