Accomodation in Paris for longer stays

Hello!
Anyone can inform me about other kind of accomodation in Paris for longer stays? Hotels are expensive and appartments look cheaper but maybe not for only one person . . . Don't need luxuries and I can survive without seeing the Tour Eiffel from my room :-D
