I'm going to be in New York for the 4th of July.... where are the hot spots for fireworks and great after parties?

This year America is celebrating its 236th anniversary. People are arranging nationwide parties/festivals and getting ready for the fireworks all over the country.
In NY the biggest fireworks display takes place at the Hudson River near statue of liberty. The fireworks not only mark America's Birthday, but also the 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson's exploration of the Hudson River.

My experience over a neatly arranged and well-provisioned Honeymoon bed breakfast was interesting.
